At Villa Marmaris, our primary goal is to provide useful information about Marmaris and form a close-knit community for lovers of this beautiful coastal town. Marmaris is a prime destination for both foreign and domestic visitors.

We, as a group of foreigners and locals who relocated to Marmaris, want to do our best to promote this lively and beautiful town. We started this site with the help of our little daughter and currently we are working on developing into a fully functional site where we can include more content, maps, search functionality and images about Marmaris.

We have started our two real estate and property management companies in Marmaris to provide management services for our own villas and apartments while we are away and also to provide third party services to other landlords in Marmaris. Our management company Laos PM and its sister company Noah Property Management will be operational to provide full scale services before the end of 2009.

Also, we have partnerships with Holiday Villa Turkey website to provide alternative listings to prospective visitors interested in other cities in Turkey other than Marmaris.

Altough we now have a small database of apartments and villas in Marmaris, we plan to extend it to a reasonable amount that will allow you to find a suitable place of your choice by the time our new website will be ready.

Brief Info About Marmaris:

The population tends to change between ... and ... during the winter and summer months. The climate in Marmaris is categorized as Mediterannean and the summers are usually hot and humid and winters are rainy and cool. It is not usual to see rain during the summer months in Marmaris. The tempratures reach in average as much as 40 - 44 degress celcius in summer months.

Marmaris Castle was built by Suleiman the Magnificent back in 1522 around the time when he started his plans to invade Rhodes. The castle has been in renovation for the past 30 years in order to restore it in its previous condition. There are a great number residences starting from the city center where the castle is located and reaching out to the outer parts of Marmaris. Different regions of the town is home to many different kinds of villas ranging from cheap to luxury ones.  

Marmaris is also a major center for sailing over the coast of Turkey. The town has 2 major and several smaller sized marinas and it is possible to see cruise boats in Marmaris throughout the year. We are able provide both assitance and boats for rent  to those interested in sailing in Marmaris.
